Creative Career Pathways Coordinator
Status: Part time, hourly, non-exempt
Terms: $25/hour
Position Overview:
LA Commons partners with youth, community members and artists in historically under-resourced communities, including South Central Los Angeles, Willowbrook, Leimert Park, and MacArthur Park. Our arts and cultural programming creates clear pathways that start with exposure, builds skills through sustained practice, and leads to paid experience in community arts and the wider creative economy, offered at no cost to participants. The coordinator will be a key record keeper of curriculum, convenings and tracking the work of the initiative. The pathway prepares youth, community and artists for jobs as producers, event coordinators and project managers; community and cultural organizers; teaching and community artists; and communications, marketing, design and public relations professionals in Los Angeles.
Reporting to the Program Directors, this role is an integral part of the team of this mission-driven, fiscally sponsored non-profit arts and culture organization. The Creative Career Pathways Coordinator will provide support to the community arts programs of the organization, specifically in career/job readiness for youth, community and artists.
