Celebrate 25 Years of LA Commons!

This year marks 25 years since our founder and Executive Director, Karen Mack, had the bold vision to use artistic and cultural expression to uplift the voices and stories of Los Angeles neighborhoods. That vision became LA Commons – an organization rooted in youth leadership, community connection, and the transformative power of art.

From murals and performances to youth-led storytelling and neighborhood festivals, LA Commons has brought people together across Los Angeles to share, heal, and imagine a better future.

To honor this journey, we’re launching 25 Stories for 25 Years: a video series spotlighting the people and moments that have shaped our communities. Released over 25 weeks, these stories will lead us into our first-ever annual gala, where we’ll come together to celebrate the legacy and future of LA Commons.
