With bold silhouettes and imagery from LA Commons’ annual summer procession during the Leimert Park Art Walk, Day of the Ancestors: Festival of the Masks to the California poppies and iconic LA glyph, to the traditional West African Adinkra symbol SESA WO SUBAN, which translates to “transform your character,” weaved into the design, artist Phil Schultz (IG @nonesome) truly elevated and brought to life the meaning of what 25 years means to LA Commons, as we reflect gratefully on our past and look ahead to the next 25 years.
