Located ten minutes northeast of downtown off the historic Arroyo Seco Parkway, Highland Park is often called LA’s original suburb. For over 100 years, artists have been drawn to this community as a locale for their studios and galleries.  Charles Lummis was one of the area’s most famous inhabitants and the annual Lummis Day Festival, held in late Spring, celebrates his life and contributions.
