Atwater Village lies between the Los Feliz and Silver Lake to the west and Glendale to the north and east, from the river to the tracks. Nestled along the most beautiful and verdant section of the Los Angeles River, the neighborhood was purchased in 1912 by the family of Harriet Atwater Paramore and was originally named “Atwater Park.” Atwater Village possesses a diverse mix of middle-income families and a thriving artistic community that continues to attract new businesses including restaurants, independently-owned shops, and theaters.
