MacArthur Park Walking Tour and K-Pop Dance Night at Levitt Pavilion
Although we can’t promise that Psy will be coming to Los Angeles (or is he…?), we can guarantee that this Trekking LA Tour is bound to be an evening filled with endless energy and entertainment.
LA Commons is kicking off the 2013 Trekking LA Tour Series: Dancing to a Global Beat in MacArthur Park, where we’ll take you for a brief walking tour of the neighborhood before our docent, Katherine Ko, takes the stage and shares her traditional Korean dance background (may we mention she’s also a expert in ballet, hip hop, and breakdance?) by connecting it to Korean culture in Korea as well as right here in Los Angeles. She’ll even show you some of her signature moves!
You can put your newly acquired dance skills to the test at Levitt Pavilion for K-Pop Dance Night later in the evening. Tour participants will get an exclusive chance to meet with the performing groups before they head up on stage. Then, fill up on picnic-style Korean side dishes and dance the night away to your favorite K-Pop performers.
The tour will meet at the Metro Westlake/MacArthur Park Station at 6:30 P.M. It is highly recommended to take public transit (Metro Red or Purple Line). There is also street meter parking available.
