Experience Thai and Armenian influence in East Hollywood with Elson Trinidad, featuring the 21st Annual Thai Art and Culture Festival
This Sunday, September 22, join Elson Trinidad for a sure-to-be exciting and educating experience in East Hollywood! As one of our veteran docents, Elson knows East Hollywood and its surrounding neighborhoods like the back of his hand. Taste delectable Armenian baked goods and visit notable stops in Little Armenia. Then, we’ll journey through Thai Town, where you’ll get to see the Apsonsi Gateway Statues, Kinarra Monument, Thailand Plaza, and several other spots that define the Thai community in Los Angeles. You’ll also get a sample of unique Thai desserts! The tour ends at the 21st Annual Thai Art and Culture Festival back in Barnsdall Park. Peruse through a collection of amazing artwork, painting demonstrations, enjoy (more) Thai delicacies, and learn the dances of Thailand with the locals. You can even get a massage or try kickboxing!
Meet at the Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Park (4800 Hollywood Blvd.). Public transit is highly recommended. And, as always, make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes!
