A ceremony will be held near the Club House at the Verdugo Hills Golf Course, Tujunga, to commemorate the space where Japanese, German, Italian, Japanese Peruvians, and others were incarcerated during World War II.  December 16th marks the anniversary date for the opening of the Department of Justice Camp. Reverend Dr. Tsuyuki of the Los Angeles KonkoKyo Church will perform a spiritual and healing Shinto rite.
This is the first step towards its memorialization as a Historical Cultural Monument #1039.
