The Mysterious Case of the Missing Star, is a folk style puppet and mask show with live music. Join three children as they search for a real star and along the way find the true stories of ordinary/extraordinary people in Los Angeles who have experienced great obstacles, and have rebuilt their lives from the fragments through making art, healing lives and environment, and building community. Both fun and poignant, the show is for all ages.

This episode will begins with the story of Tikkun Olam, and will feature artists Simon Rodia who built the Watts Towers, and Dominique Moody who lost her sight, but creates a life of great vision; and the making of Mama, the story of Sandi Romero of Mama’s Hot Tamales who works to bring about peace one tamale at a time.

Featuring: Jonathan Alvarez, Gina Fields, Marissa Herrara, Severin Behnen, Reginald Armand Neal, Poli Marichal, Skim, Shamika Franklin and Beth Peterson.
Special thanks to: Dominique Moody, Sandra Romero, Jamie Kim, Elizabeth Caldwell, Ronnie Clark, Linda Hoag, Daniel Gill, Madison, Ezra, Jeoung Ae Neal, Dolores Chavez, and the folks at Avenue 50 and 2-Tracks.
